Savvy Survivor

in-out-about-savvy-survivor

We’re a competitive bunch – all for a good cause of course.

Each year the wonderful team at Savvy Fitness plays host to bring the Wollongong community together to promote physical activity and healthy hearts in supportive environments all while raising funds for a local charity in the area – welcome to Savvy Survivor.

Savvy Survivor is a 7 day charity event where the emphasis is teamwork, fun and participation. Four teams made up of Savvy members, associate businesses, and the wider community duke it out to achieve points through a series of activities and challenges. Survivor is designed to physically and mentally test participants while encouraging teamwork and raise funds for local charity.

2020s charity of choice, Healthy Cities Illawarra, run a series of wellbeing initiatives with a focus on creating healthy environments and enabling healthy choices for the people of the Illawarra and Shoalhaven region. Healthy Cities Illawarra is part of an international movement initiated by the World Health Organisation in 1986.

Ericom’s very own Tate English, a Green Tribe Chief, pulled off an incredible effort performing six laps of the sublime point circuit, a massive 15klm loop up and down a mountain in the rain. Tate is known to us for always bringing his A-game but we couldn’t go past without acknowledging his determination and amazing results – great work Tate! Together the Ericom team raised $2,500 to go towards helping make our community happier, healthier and more active. Savvy Survivor 2020 raised a total of $39,839.00.

Bianka Rodrigues
Procurement and Administration

Working at Ericom has been a rewarding journey of growth and transformation. I began here as a trainee and soon transitioned into a Procurement and Administration role, where I managed vendor relationships, processed purchase orders, and ensured accounts were kept up to date. Collaborating closely with all departments, this played a key role in ensuring timely delivery of orders and maintaining customer satisfaction. Ericom has consistently supported my developments to which I’ve recently moved into a Sales Coordinator role. This role has enabled me to utilise my organisational and communicational skills to better support the sales team, ensuring that all opportunities meet company standards and are being processed efficiently. As Ericom embraces the AI era, I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to work with the platform team to automate manual processes. This has allowed me to free up my time to focus on process improvements and analysing data. The collaborative culture and innovative environment at Ericom continues to inspire me, and I’m proud to contribute to a team that values invisible excellence.
